On behalf of  Neighbors in Need Alliance (NINA) and Neighbors in Need Interfaith Alliance (NINIA), we want to acknowledge with deep gratitude the participation of Summit Church and all of the members who participated in Laundry Love in 2024.

Laundry Love has been such a success for both volunteers and those who served this year. Over 900 loads of laundry have been done for 187 of our neighbors in need in Durango; an unmitigated success! Initially the offering was for one afternoon per month, but demand quickly grew and volunteers responded by agreeing to two sessions a month. Kudos to our volunteers!

As much as it has been a success for those who received the service, it has been a success for volunteers; the feedback we have received from members of participating churches/organizations has been overwhelmingly positive. Laundry Love has provided a venue for volunteers to have one-on-one contact with our neighbors in need and the interactions have been gratifying to all.

As we look forward to 2025, we know that Laundry Love is one way to “walk the talk” and we are so grateful for your participation.

With thanks from the NINA Board of Directors,

Caroline Kinser, Chair
