Christmas Offering
Every year our church has a Christmas Offering campaign to financially support a selected group of non-profit organizations on a local, domestic and/or international level. The application window is now open and all applicants must have their request turned in by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 31st. This is a strict deadline as we get far more applicants than we can fund. Everyone who applies will get consideration and there are typically 3-4 organizations selected to be a partner in the campaign. If you know of any organizations that you feel might benefit from this financial support, and community awareness that goes along with it, please have them fill out an application. The applications are located in the church office. We can also email a fax a copy of the form.

Fun For the Whole Family!
Blue Christmas
For some of our family, friends, and neighbors, Christmas is not the most wonderful time of the year. Let us know if you need support.
Our Blue Christmas Service (Date TBD) in the Summit Church sanctuary is offered especially for those hurting during the holidays.
Some come because they are mourning the death of a loved one. Some are far from home. Some suffer from illness, addiction, or estrangement. Some are lonely, struggling financially, or in conflict with another. Some hurt because of the great pain, need, and violence in our nation and world. The reasons for coming are many.
We gather in the midst of suffering to remember God is good. God is strong. God is near.

Angels: Messengers of Hope
What comes to mind when you hear the words “angel,” “halo,” or “wings”? What about celestial beings descending from the sky? What if there’s more to angels than the ornaments we hang on our trees? The word angel means messenger. They’re mentioned hundreds of times in scripture. They bring messages of comfort, peace and joy. And who doesn’t need more of this today? Sometimes, the Bible says, when we welcome strangers, we welcome angels without knowing it. Join us this Advent, the four weeks before Christmas, as we discover how these messengers of hope can come to us, and shine through us, this Christmas season.
