There were almost three times as many applicants as organizations chosen, however, the Missions Finance Team of the church has selected this year’s recipients of the annual Christmas Offering. The ARC of Southwest Colorado hosts two, separate summer camps here in Durango for kids with disabilities. These are not only great opportunities for these young people, but a source of respite for the families as well. Next is Global Hope, Arms for Hope, which provides support for families from Ukraine whose husbands/fathers have either been killed in the war or are still actively deployed. The ministry takes place in Romania for the Ukrainian families. Third, is the Shanta Foundation which is serving people in Myanmar and Zambia with clean water, construction of schools, and helping them reach self-sustainability. Finally, the Native Hope Ministry was selected to receive funds for their Winter Survival ministry on the Navajo Reservation. The team from Native Hope will provide firewood and solar lighting for the families on the reservation.
